Qld: Cabin crew training facility opened in Brisbane
Airline cabin crew from across the Asia-Pacific region are expected to make use of
a new independent training centre .. opened in Brisbane today.
Within two years the 3.5 million dollar Aviation Australia facility could be training
10 thousand cabin crew .. engineers .. managers and operational staff a year.
Aviation Australia's PAUL BREDERICK says airlines used to train their own pilots and
crew .. but with the advent of low-cost airlines .. outsourced training is more economic.
