Contract Notice: California Department of General Services Issues Request for Qualifications for Engineering and Energy Services

SACRAMENTO, Calif., May 24 -- California Department of General Services has issued a request for qualifications (No. RESD PSB 2011-14) for engineering and energy services.

DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES

STATEWIDE

The Contractor shall provide professional engineering and energy services for projects within the State of California.

The responsible parties shall be licensed Mechanical Engineers in the State of California (CA) and all work shall be performed under the supervision of and approved by an appropriately licensed design professional. Services may include evaluation of operational performance of individual equipments and systems, collection of operational and performance data, recommendation for maintenance of thermal and generation associated equipment, evaluation of cogeneration and generation systems, and preparation of reports for operation and maintenance requirements for production of thermal and electrical energy including financial analysis.

The PSB is interested in securing the services of one firm. Amendments to the Retainer Agreement Contract for specific projects will be prepared on an as needed basis. The scope of services and total fee for individual amendments will be negotiated utilizing the rates specified in the Retainer Agreement. The Retainer Agreement will remain in force for two years or until the maximum dollar amount is expended. The State may extend the Agreement for up to one additional year under circumstances as deemed necessary by the State. The State does not guarantee that any amendments will be made under the Agreements during the contract period to the selected firms(s).
