Fed: Lees announces new political party = 2
Senator LEES says it will be a genuine party of the centre and will concentrate onnational issues and finding solutions, rather than cheap political point-scoring.
She says the new party will campaign to win the balance of power in the Senate at thenext election.
She says the party will be run by a management board presided over by Reverend JOHNWOODLEY, chair of the centre for social justice within Uniting Care in Queensland.
Senator LEES says Australians who value the environment, who understand the need toprotect vulnerable members of the community and who recognise the need for sensible economicdebate should join the party.
